The Abruzzo region is located in central Italy and is bordered by the Marche region to the north, Lazio region to the west, Molise region to the south and the Adriatic Sea to the east. The region offers a diverse geographical landscape, being characterized by the Apennine mountain range dominating the region and bordered by the Adriatic Sea.

The Abruzzo region is known for mountain, litoral, cultural and gastronomic tourism. Abruzzo is one of the greenest regions of Europe, having over 30 natural reservations, 3 National Parks and one Regional Park. Abruzzo is divided into four administrative provinces (Chieti, Teramo, Pescara and L'Aquila), all four with beautiful medieval treasures.

I visited this little medieval town this summer and I fell in love with it. It is a small town on the top of a hill, with a beautiful Fortress on the top, with a beautiful Museum and "La Ruetta" the tighest street in Italy.

I visited this seaside city this summer with a friend and I think that this city represents perfectly the italian seaside. You should absolutely visit this city, for the adepts of litoral tourism, this place is perfect. The city is very charming and modern, with tha tipical mediteranean houses.
